Le souci de sauvegarder la notion du temps qui passe est au coeur de mon engagement pictural. Je cristallise dans la matière, l'existence qui s'écoule. J'extirpe des résidus de papier-peint de maisons délabrées et abandonnées, puis je recrée les propriètés d'un mur. Ces témoins historiques et sociaux de l'intimité des êtres sont comme des lambeaux d'épiderme sur le corps rongé de la toile, les indices d'un passage et les derniers résidus de l'abandon, une mémoire qui pousse la porte de l'oubli pour nous ramener à la brièveté de la vie. Le corps du tableau expose ses cicatrices, les plaies du temps qui se creusent, afin de trouver ses origines, l'origine du corps et de sa naissance.
